For 10 years Neff Enterprise has been providing our engineering knowledge to Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc. Kawasaki is a leading manufacture in new technology subway car and double-decker push-pull coaches.  Located in Yonkers New York, Kawasaki has been one of the major builder of subway cars and double-deckers for New York City and Long Island Rail Road.  

Neff Enterprise has been providing engineering assistance in areas of manuals, training, serialization, maintainability, reliability, redesign work, and failure investigation.  As a result of our efforts, Kawasaki has implemented new designs that have improve the reliability of the cars operating in and around New York City.

R142A Subway Cars.

Delivered in early 1998 there are 520 cars in operation.

The R142A cars operate on the 6 line from Pelham Bay Part to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall in Manhattan.

The R142A cars also operate on the 4 and 5 lines from Jerome Ave. in the Bronx to Flatbush Ave. in Brooklyn.

R143 Subway Cars

Delivered in early 2000 there are 200 cars in operation.

The R143 cars operate on the L line from 8th Ave in Manhattan to Canarsie in Brooklyn.
